NTT DATA Sponsors LMU Entrepreneurship Center

NTT DATA has become a new sponsor of the LMU Entrepreneurship Center.

Startup Collaborations

Munich, October 1, 2018 - NTT DATA has become the LMU Entrepreneurship Center’s new sponsor. The Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) itself is one of Germany’s best universities. In the Times Higher Education Magazine’s “World University Ranking 2019,” LMU is, once again, the top-ranked German university.

As part of the sponsorship, the IT consulting firm’s experts are now giving start-up help to prospective company founders. Together with its sponsors, the Center focuses on helping promising start-ups develop their business ideas and business plans and provide theoretical foundations and practical tools.

Also, lectures and tips from successful founders, investors, consultants, and leading companies will give future start-ups insights into building a business, opportunities, and challenges. For this sponsorship, NTT DATA, the system integrator, works closely with the start-ups and develops their business ideas and plans. The company’s experience in different industries and a broad technology portfolio are of great value to future founders.

“At NTT DATA, innovation and further education are writ large - our teams live and work based on this principle. So it makes sense to us to take the next step and pass on our knowledge to the prospective founders,” said Carsten Scheunemann, Head of Digital Business Solutions, NTT DATA Germany. “Of course, it is also important for us to keep an eye on the young start-up scene. In exchanging information like this, our consultants can also receive new interesting suggestions and innovative ideas.”

Flixbus and Foodora are just some of the well-known start-ups that the LMU Entrepreneurship Center has already supported. Both companies have been successful in the market for years and expanding their business model into other countries.

“Empowering Entrepreneurs!” is the vision of the LMU Entrepreneurship Center (LMU EC), which aims to educate the entrepreneurial leaders of the future, actively support the creation of successful ventures, and foster a culture of entrepreneurship - at all LMU faculties and beyond. It reaches over 1,000 people a year with its business planning courses, and its Accelerator has supported more than 235 innovative start-up teams to date.
