2020 Oct 30th – NTT DATA, a trusted global technology and business solutions provider, has been recognized by Everest Group as a Leader in its "Healthcare Provider Digital Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2020".

The report analyzes the changing dynamics of the healthcare provider digital services landscape. As a recognized Leader in the Everest Group report, NTT DATA was recognized for the company's ability to deliver services successfully and the impact it has created in the market. As the healthcare industry shifts due to the current pandemic, Everest Group specifically cited NTT DATA's Nucleus for Healthcare solution as well as collaboration on a COVID-19 Patient Monitoring solution, part of Nucleus for Healthcare.

"Healthcare providers are finding it hard to navigate the pandemic due to significant technical debt and dated legacy systems. They are balancing their cost take-out initiatives with investments in digital transformation to stay financially afloat and prepare for operations in a post-pandemic landscape," notes Chunky Satija, Practice Director, Everest Group. "While the immediate focus has shifted to virtual care, healthcare providers are also investing in improving patient and clinician experience. In this context, NTT DATA has emerged as a Leader on Everest Group's Healthcare Provider Digital Services PEAK Matrix Assessment® 2020 on the back of its robust Nucleus for Healthcare digital health platform solution, which caters to an extensive range of provider requirements, incorporates best-in-class solutions from its partner network, and helps accelerate its customers' digital transformation journeys."

As NTT DATA continues to drive digital transformation within the healthcare sector, Everest Group cited as a strength the company's strategic investments in horizontal (Enli and Visitpay) and healthcare-focused partnerships (Teladoc, formerly InTouch Health, and R1, formerly SCI Solutions) to create a strong Nucleus for Healthcare pre-solutioned platform. Also noted by clients was NTT DATA's mix of onshore and offshore resources to optimize the delivery portfolio.

The report also noted growth in the healthcare provider digital services market currently represents a $3 billion opportunity. The shift from a volume- to value-based care model, focus on customer centricity, desire for business efficiency and cost-savings, and need for increased collaboration between stakeholders have all been key drivers in adopting digital solutions for healthcare providers.

The Healthcare Provider Digital Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2020 features an objective, data-driven and comparative assessment of 22 healthcare digital service providers. The assessment is based on Everest Group's annual RFI process for the calendar year 2020, which includes interactions with leading digital service providers, client reference checks, and an in-depth analysis of the digital services market.
